When we arrived we all had our lunches and then go ready for the activities ahead!
We have trust! Our first activity was low ropes building confidence in trusting each other and developing our team work skills. Races across the ropes and competitions were enjoyed by all.
Dinner time!
We spent time together outside to discuss our hopes for our trip. Setting ourselves goals of being brave.
Tuesday
Vertical Playpen –
All the children took on the challenge of climbing the vertical playpen. The children all challenged themselves to reach as high as they could with some even making it to the top! They were all proud of how well they did.
Archery/ Laser Tag
Crate Stack – Teamwork was needed to stack the crates up as high as possible and then the best bit was knocking them all over at the end from a great height.
Wednesday
Zipline – After the initial nerves there was no stopping the children on the zipline. They kept queueing up for more goes they loved it so much!
Bushcraft – We made fire! We collected sticks to create our fires and learnt some survival skills.
High ropes – Before high ropes we set ourselves a challenge of how high we would like to go on the course. It was incredible to see how much confidence has grown over the week and how much higher the children were able to climb compared to day one.
Abseiling – Such bravery to go up and even look down before making the lean back to abseil down.
Campfire – We gathered round the fire sharing jokes and singing songs (which we are sure the children will be singing to you at home) finishing with a hot chocolate for our final night.
Thursday
Climbing – Putting all our skills together from the week to climb as high as we felt we could and then abseil back down.
Problem Solving – The last activity before heading home required a lot of thought and team work.
