Menphys Carol Concert
The much-loved Menphys Carol Concert took place at DeMontfort Hall on the 5th December, marking a joyful start to the festive season in Leicestershire. This event truly embodies the spirit of Advent, reminding us all of the importance of community and togetherness during this special time of year.
We were especially proud of our own Sacred Heart Menphys choir. Children from Year 5 and 6, alongside the children’s choir from St John Fisher, were superb ambassadors for our Trust.
Diwali
We have been learning about Hinduism as part of our RE work in class. We were lucky enough to have a visitor from INSIGHT UK come to talk through the most important elements of the Hindu faith. The children were able to use the beautiful informative displays which offered a glimpse into the Hindu Civilisation to gather their research for their class work. Our Hinduism week finished with our wonderful Diwali Day in school. We were also able to showcase our wonderful school to visiting children from St Charle’s Catholic Voluntary Academy in Measham. They spent the morning attending our assembly and taking part in the different activities around our school. The children and staff dressed in their finest to celebrate the festival of light and joy together as a school community. It was a beautiful celebration of our diversity and inclusivity; something we are very proud of at Sacred Heart.
