Sacred Heart’s Big Garden Birdwatch Adventure! 🌳🐦 – Friday 24^th January 2025

What a fantastic day we had participating in the Big Garden Birdwatch at Sacred Heart Leicester! 🕊✨ From spotting colourful robins to counting cheeky sparrows, our children embraced the outdoors and became wildlife detectives for the day. 🌿🔍

Armed with binoculars and their curiosity, they learned about the importance of protecting birds and their habitats. 🐦💚 The energy and excitement in the air were contagious as everyone shared their favourite birdwatching moments. 🌟

This event reminded us of the beauty of nature right in our own school grounds and how small actions can make a big impact. 🌍💫 A huge thank you to all the students and staff who made this day so special! 🥰🌼

What a Paw-some Eco Experience with @DogsTrust! 🐶😄

Over the past two days, Sacred Heart was absolutely buzzing with excitement as we welcomed the incredible team from @DogsTrust! 🙌✨ With two inspiring assemblies and a whopping 12 workshops, it’s safe to say our children were absolutely engaged and brimming with enthusiasm. 😊🌈

Sarah from @DogsTrust was a superstar! Her wealth of knowledge about dogs had our students asking brilliant questions and sharing insightful discussions. 🔹“Why do dogs wag their tails?” 🔹“How do we keep dogs happy and healthy?” 🔹“What do different dog behaviours mean?”—just a few examples of the fantastic curiosity Sarah sparked! 😍❓

The children didn’t just learn facts; they left feeling inspired to treat our furry friends with kindness, compassion, and understanding. 🌟 From understanding a dog’s needs to exploring how to care for them responsibly, the lessons learned over these two days will stay with them for a lifetime. 🤗🐾

We can’t thank @DogsTrust enough for sharing their passion and dedication with us. 🙏 Whether it was learning about responsible dog ownership or simply enjoying fun facts about our four-legged friends, the experience was paws-itively amazing! 🥰⭐
